Soft Skills Workshops by INE GSEE

Τhe Information and Counselling Network for Employed and Unemployed of ΙΝΕ GSEE held in September 2020, for the beneficiaries of the Generation 2.0 RED’s Career Counselling service a 2-day online workshop, for the project “Equality Works”, implemented under the Active citizens fund, with topics being the “Development of Employment Adaptability Skills” but also the “Personal and social empowerment in the job search: Time, stress and transition management”.

The two Soft Skills workshops, which were organised for the first time online at Generation 2.0 RED, were attended by beneficiaries participating in the “Equality Works” activities. Interaction and discussion were the primary tools, and focus was placed on individual experiences. The participants had the opportunity to express their opinions and experiences, regarding their effort to integrate into the Greek labor market, the difficulties they are facing on a daily basis and the opportunities offered through formal and non-formal educational programs.

The feedback that the Career Counselling team received afterwards was quite positive, especially when considering the transitional era, we are all going through, that opportunities for participation in various activities are limited. Last but not least, the participants expressed a significant interest for more workshops like this, because this is one way to boost their effort for getting more empowered in the Greek society.
