The development of soft skills as a tool for integration into the labor market

In February, a two-day online seminar with title “Development of Soft Skills” & “Intercultural Approaches & Gender Issues” was held by the Career Counselling Service, with the contribution of Diotima organisation, an activity that is part of the “Equality Works” project, which is being implemented under the Active citizens fund.

Specifically, we discussed about the importance of communication skills, efficient time management and the goal setting as important tools and strengths for integration into the Greek labor market.

However, what could not be missed, with Diotima contributing to this seminar, is the reference to gender and stereotyping in professions, which are still prevalent today, playing a catalytic role in the decisions we make every day but also in the way we think, along with the change of the role of women throughout time on different levels.

Through this seminar, we received positive feedback from the beneficiaries of the program, who were an active part of this seminar, sharing their personal experiences in our group.

The next seminars on Soft Skills Development will be held in the spring for those enrolled in the Career Counseling Service of the organisation.
