The 3rd International Documentary Festival of Ierapetra is going to host famous international and Greek visual artists. It is going to take place in Ierapetra from the 6th of August until the 10th. Meanwhile, a lot of documentary screenings are going to take place throughout Creta. Since last year, the International Documentary Festival of Ierapetra has become an institution in Creta and has also traveled from April to October to many places throughout Greece and other countries, thus widening its horizons with images and sounds of Greece, the Mediterranean and the whole world.
Our documentary “New Generation Got Game” covers the second intercultural basketball tournament which was organized by Generation 2.0 on June of 2015. It presents the participants that reflect what we call “the New Generation of Greek Citizens” who talk to us about the tournament as well as about their lives in the city’s neighborhoods. They are people with different ethnic backgrounds who did not only participate in this tournament, but also became friends and proved that diversity is not an obstacle as far as friendship is concerned, and generally regarding building relations, with our city and the Greek society.
