Position Objectives

Providing MSF services with an understanding of local, socio-cultural determinants. Supporting beneficiaries with basic information regarding access to medical treatment, transportation and other actors (legal, social, etc) following MSF’s protocols, standards and procedures, in order to create links with the communities and contribute to the visibility and acceptance of MSF.

Main Accountabilities

Interpreting and making the link between MSF and people in transit, host communities, asylum seeker’s communities. Informing patients and communities about MSF and services it provides and the constraints, procedures and opportunities in access of services (e.g. shelter, food) provided by other actors
Supporting in data collection and research concerning local and international context with regards to medical and humanitarian issues, in order to provide reliable information for further decision-making
Working closely with the different departments: Medical and Health Promoter.
Maintaining crowd control in the waiting area of DCC or mobile clinic, the psychologist during mental health group and individual sessions and the Humanitarian Affairs Officer in collecting testimonies.
Informing both MSF staff and the beneficiaries on their respective customs, traditions, and cultural codes.
Adapting communication to any circumstances, using appropriate language registry as well as diplomatic and courtesy manners by adapting the messages to the culture of the beneficiaries and developing reading capability of the context in which he should operate. Participating in creation of any material needed for communication of the team.
Accompanying and following up beneficiaries to referrals (health and social care facilities) as needed.
Report all important information expressed by the communities, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Accompany patients to the public hospital or private medical services and ensure that they understand the health care system. Accompany them to translate the consultations.
Translate medical MSF team consultations (mental health, sociolegal team, doctors…) according to the patient’s language and culture on the Day Care Center and at the mobile clinic.
Assist the Day Care Center receptionist in welcoming patients and assist the nurse during mobile clinics with crowd control and administrative task.

Essential Criteria

Desirable degree in social science, social communication, or teaching
Training in interpretation or intercultural mediation is an asset
Previous experience in translation and/or cultural mediation preferable
Desirable French, Greek and/or Farsi
English oral and written is mandatory
Previous working experience in MSF or in NGO will be highly appreciated

Performing the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety conditions and respecting the country’s traffic rules and MSF security rules, in order to provide a safe, smooth and efficient service

Main Accountabilities

Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), performing weekly check according to the MSF Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions. Carrying out a hand over if another uses the vehicle
Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country as well as MSF security rules, in order to avoid car accidents.

Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver’s driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods.
Knowing how to use all types of radios, codes, call numbers and radio alphabets by heart and communicating with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver’s position and any potential implications.
Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensuring all passengers know and respect the security rules#
Flexibility to support in daily logistic tasks according to activities needs (crowd control, kits distribution, etc.)

Providing nursing care, treatment and follow-up of patients, according to doctors’ prescriptions, protocols applied in service and universal hygiene standards/precautions, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of care for the targeted population

Main Accountabilities

Knowing, promoting, implementing, and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Ελάχιστη εμπειρία 3 ετών ως μέλος ομάδας παροχής υπηρεσιών στέγασης σε προσφυγικό πληθυσμό με αιχμή τη δικτύωση με ιδιοκτήτες ακινήτων και μεσίτες. Εναλλακτικά, απαραίτητη η εμπειρία στη διαχείριση ή μεσιτεία ακινήτων.

Τεχνικές και Διοικητικές Δεξιότητες:

Ικανότητα σχεδιασμού και υλοποίησης αποτελεσματικών στρατηγικών προσέγγισης για τη δημιουργία και επέκταση του δικτύου συνεργαζόμενων μεσιτών και ιδιοκτητών. Επιθυμητή η εποπτική γνώση της αγοράς ακινήτων στην Αττική.
Ικανότητα επίτευξης υψηλών ποσοτικών στόχων παρά τις ενδεχόμενες προκλήσεις στην αγορά ακινήτων.
Οργάνωση και παρακολούθηση των διαδικασιών εξεύρεσης και διαχείρισης διαμερισμάτων.
Ικανότητα διαχείρισης και αρχειοθέτησης εγγράφων. Συλλογή και επεξεργασία δεδομένων ακινήτων και συνεργαζόμενου δικτύου ιδιοκτητών και μεσιτών.
Γνώση χρήσης της Microsoft Office Suite, καθώς και συστημάτων διαχείρισης υποθέσεων, εισαγωγής δεδομένων και συνεισφοράς στη σύνταξη αναφορών. Επιθυμητή η γνώση χρήσης του λογισμικού kobotoolbox.
Δίπλωμα οδήγησης αυτοκινήτου.

Άριστη γνώση της Ελληνικής και Αγγλικής γλώσσας, με εξαιρετικές προφορικές και γραπτές δεξιότητες επικοινωνίας.
Ικανότητα συμμετοχής στην προετοιμασία αναφορών υψηλής ποιότητας, τεκμηρίωσης της προόδου και διατήρησης αποτελεσματικής επικοινωνίας με τον Συντονιστή/ρια Δραστηριοτήτων Προσέγγισης Διαμερισμάτων.
