ABOUT GENERATION 2.0 RED
Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity is a non-profit organisation consisted of people with different origins who work together to promote equal participation in a diverse society, through the empowerment of communities.
We combine action and research, aiming to promote human rights, equality and diversity, fight racism, xenophobia and discrimination in general. As an organisation, we have over 10 years of experience in social action, sociological & legal research, project management and cultural events. We participate and cooperate with the largest human rights networks in Greece and Europe, advocating for the rights of socially vulnerable groups, regardless of their origin, nationality, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
This role is dedicated on financial monitoring and management of projects and activities implemented by the organisation (schedule, timelines, budget, etc.) on the topics of human rights advocacy, employability, non-formal education, etc.
Duties | Responsibilities
- Participation in project design and proposals submission
- Monitoring projects’ schedule, timelines and budgets
- Keeping track of cash transactions and payables
- Communication with staff and external collaborators in terms of projects’ financial management
- Preparation of financial reports, presentations and relevant documents for stakeholders, donors and partners
- Financial monitoring of projects’ progress
- Close collaboration with the accounting office for expenses’ proper registration and payroll management
- Financial records preparation (budget, financial statements, cash flow, etc.)
- Participation in audits organised by stakeholders and donors
- Assessment and amendment of financial procedures and policies
Mandatory competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Administration
- Excellent command of English and Greek, verbally and in writing
- Very good command of Microsoft Office (excellent command of Excel)
- 1-3 years of work experience in project management in the humanitarian field
Desired competencies
- Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics and relevant cognitive fields
- Project management training
- Work experience in CERV, AMIF, Erasmus+, ACF projects management
- Understanding of migration and third country nationals’ inclusion in Greece matters

Κύρια καθήκοντα:
- Δικτύωση – συνεργασία με φορείς ψυχικής υγείας, κοινωνικές υπηρεσίες Δήμων και άλλους κοινωνικούς φορείς.
- Διαχείριση παραπομπών για εργασία, λήψη κοινωνικού και επαγγελματικού ιστορικού, οργάνωση συνεντεύξεων, υποστήριξη στην εργασιακή ένταξη νέων εργαζόμενων.
- Παρακολούθηση της πορείας των εργαζομένων μέσα από τακτικές ή έκτακτες συναντήσεις στην Έδρα ή/και στους χώρους εργασίας τους, με σκοπό την υποστήριξή τους, τη διαχείριση συγκρούσεων και άλλων προβλημάτων που είναι πιθανό να παρουσιαστούν.
- Υποστήριξη των εργαζομένων με ψυχοκοινωνικά προβλήματα, μέσω ατομικών ή/και ομαδικών συνεδριών, και συνεργασία με το θεραπευτικό τους πλαίσιο.
- Ενημέρωση των εργαζομένων για κοινωνικά προγράμματα, παροχές, προγράμματα εκπαίδευσης/κατάρτισης και υποστήριξή τους σε γραφειοκρατικές διαδικασίες και στην επικοινωνία τους με τις δημόσιες αρχές.

Female French/Lingala Cultural Mediator – Athens – ACTION FOR WOMEN
Action for Women’s main mission is to provide safety, support and hope for women and girls displaced by conflict, violence and persecution.
Our Athens initiative, the Pomegranate Project, offers a holistic protection and empowerment model to enable recovery and healing for women refugees or asylum seekers, at risk or are survivors of gender based violence for meaningful integration within Greek society. We are run for women, entirely by women, and we are recruiting a female French/Lingala speaking Cultural Mediator to join our team in Athens.
You will be an integral part of our long term core team as you will be responsible for communicating the needs of our French & Lingala speaking participants of the Project.
This is a full time position (40 hours per week) for six months covered by Greek labour law, with the possibility to extend.
The successful candidate is expected to start on 1st September 2024, with a month’s probation period.

Main Responsibilities:

- Registration of new students for Greek language classes
- MHPSS Support: Provide in-person interpretation for our Psychologists in individual therapy sessions and weekly group psychosocial support activities
Protection: In-person interpretation for our Protection team. When necessary and based on request by our Social Worker: Accompanying participants of the Project to public services (hospitals, public offices)
- Under guidance, monitor the attendance and engagement of our French & Lingala speaking community to identify barriers to participation and facilitate referrals to our Social Worker when necessary
- Other duties as assigned (example: childcare)
Ideal candidate profile:
- Native French/Lingala speaker with an excellent command of Greek and English or vice versa; We are an international team, our working language is English
- Other languages such as Arabic, Farsi will be a huge advantage
- Strong IT Literacy skills with a focus on Google documents
- High professional ethics
- Excellent communication skills, listening and observation skills
- Previous experience working/volunteering in other organisations relating to protection, violence against women and/or female migrants and refugees who are survivors of gender-based violence will be prioritised
- Team player who thrives in a multicultural team setting, with a strong ability to maintain composure, under pressure in an environment with high levels of ambiguity.

Professional Development Manager – Serres – LIFTING HANDS INTERNATIONAL
Essential Criteria
- Proactive: Able to work well independently and without constant supervision
- Previous humanitarian experience, particularly in a refugee context
- Understanding of the implementation of Psychosocial Support (PSS) programs
- Understanding of community-based and community-led approaches
- Previous experience in the provision of Professional Development / Skills development activities
- Problem solving skills and flexibility
- Previous experience of people management
- Professional attitude, able to remain calm under pressure
- Able to work well in a large, multicultural team
- Minimum six month commitment
- Fluent English speaker

Essential Criteria
- Experience in formal and/or non-formal education
- Experience in teaching English and/or German as second language
- Knowledge of the refugee context in Greece
- Cultural sensitivity, basic knowledge of PSS
- Experience in Curriculum Design

- Previous experience of people management
- Professional attitude, able to remain calm under pressure
- Able to work well in a large, multicultural team
- Minimum six month commitment
