WALK AGAINST DISCRIMINATION – WAD 2025

In defiance of the times, this year, the Walk has “grown” and will take place simultaneously in Athens, Lesbos, Thessaloniki, and Larissa!

Walk in ATHENS:
Meeting point: Friday, March 21, at 16:00 at Syntagma Square (Monument to the Unknown Soldier).

United, we walk across from the Parliament (upper part of Syntagma Square), where the ANTI-RACISM Award – Janetos Antypas will be presented. This year, five women’s migrant and refugee organizations will receive the baton for their contribution to defending human rights. These organizations are:

After the award ceremony, united we walk around Syntagma Square.

We are pleased to announce that in response to our call, other cities in Greece are co-organizing the WALK AGAINST DISCRIMINATION for the first time:

Walk in LESVOS:
Meeting point: Friday, March 21, at 17:30 at the Statue of the Minor Asia Mother, Epano Skala, Mytilene.

The walk will conclude with an open discussion at the Social Kitchen Nan, 30 Komninaki Street, Mytilene.

Walk in THESSALONIKI:
Meeting point: Friday, March 21, at 13:00 at the statue of Aristotle (Aristotelous Square), followed by a walk along the seafront, with stops at the White Tower and the Memorial Tree for the victims of the Tempi accident.

Walk in LARISSA:
Meeting point: Friday, March 21, at 11:00, at the Post Office Square (center of the square), Larissa.
