ABOUT GENERATION 2.0 RED

Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity is a non-profit organisation consisted of people with different origins who work together to promote equal participation in a diverse society, through the empowerment of communities.

We combine action and research, aiming to promote human rights, equality and diversity, fight racism, xenophobia and discrimination in general. As an organisation, we have over 10 years of experience in social action, sociological & legal research, project management and cultural events. We participate and cooperate with the largest human rights networks in Greece and Europe, advocating for the rights of socially vulnerable groups, regardless of their origin, nationality, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

The Role

With one of our goals being the inclusion of people of migrant background into the Greek society and the labour market, we have been building, since 2017, a network of private sector actors, the Diversity in the Workplace, whose participant companies and organisations actively support equal opportunities at work and collaborate with us towards an inclusive work environment through capacity building.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Diversity Network Officer to contribute to the vision of an equal and non-discriminative access to labour market for all.

This multifaceted role is a mix of awareness raising to private sector actors along with organising and facilitating capacity building activities for companies & organisations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the existing Network and explore and build new collaborations
  • Engage private sector actors within the Network’s activities
  • Design and carry out raise awareness activities for the promotion of the Network
  • Organise and facilitate capacity building activities (e.g. trainings) for organisations, on Diversity and Inclusion topics to groups of employees or Management/HR members
  • Desk research and material development in English and Greek concerning DE&I kai proper adaptation to create tools addressed to cooperate environments
  • Collaborate daily and effectively with the Employability Coordinator, the Employability Officer/s & the Communications Officer
  • Help promote the agreed communication plan in collaboration with the Communications Officer for the Network’s maintenance and its further expansion
  • Copy-writing and visual material creation for the Diversity in the Workplace Linkedin page and social media management in collaboration with the Communications Officer
  • Conduct job matching, upon request of employers, for job placements utilising the pool  of beneficiaries of the Career Counselling service
  • Provide information and support to companies regarding recruitment procedures for candidates of migrant background
  • Conduct market analysis and desk research and be up-to-date with labour market trends
  • Participate in Job fairs and other recruitment events or events related to HR/CSR and other labour market-related events
  • Report to the Employability Coordinator on a regular basis and prepare monthly reports for different projects
  • Travel in Greece if required for capacity building activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • Academic background in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations/Communications or in Human Resources Management is a must
  • Work experience of at least 2 years in a corporate environment is a must
  • Work experience or volunteering experience in the humanitarian field will be an asset.
  • Basic knowledge on migration-related matters
  • Basic Knowledge of labour legislation and non-discrimination policies
  • Fluent Greek and English in written and verbally
  • Very good command of MS Office tools
  • Familiarity with WordPress and Linkedin
  • Familiarity with Canva
  • Familiarity with presentation tools (and online ones)
