Η ομάδα του Victoria Square Project αναζητά νέους/ες για να ενισχύσουν την υλοποίηση του καλλιτεχνικού προγράμματός του. Το κάλεσμα αφορά στην πρακτική άσκηση στο VSP, μέσα από το οποίο, οι ασκούμενοι που έρχονται καθημερινά σε επαφή με τους γείτονες και συμμετέχοντες του προγράμματος του οργανισμού, έχουν τη δυνατότητα να αναπτύξουν, μεταξύ άλλων, δεξιότητες επικοινωνίας, οργάνωσης, συνεργασίας και προσαρμοστικότητας, και να εντρυφήσουν στις δομές και στους μηχανισμούς λειτουργίας ενός πολιτιστικού οργανισμού.

Διαθέσιμες θέσεις

Ο προβλεπόμενος αριθμός αμειβόμενης πρακτικής άσκησης είναι δύο θέσεις ανά εξάμηνο κάθε χρόνο. Η πρακτική άσκηση διαρκεί έξι μήνες, και ξεκινάει Σεπτέμβριο και Μάρτιο αντίστοιχα. Το ωράριο απασχόλησης είναι 20 ώρες εβδομαδιαία/5 ημέρες ή 6 ημέρες/κυλιόμενο ωράριο (περιλαμβανομένων των Σαββάτων και Κυριακών).

Η μία θέση απευθύνεται σε:

– Φοιτητές/τριες και απόφοιτους/ες ΑΕΙ ή ΤΕΙ. Προϋπόθεση είναι να διανύουν τουλάχιστον το τρίτο έτος των σπουδών τους και να δείχνουν ενδιαφέρον στα αντικείμενα της συμμετοχικής τέχνης, της επικοινωνίας και της πολιτιστικής διαχείρισης. Επιθυμητή η γνώση ή η σχέση με τη γειτονιά. (μία θέση ανά εξάμηνο)

Η δεύτερη θέση απευθύνεται σε:

–     Απόφοιτοι σχολείων της ευρύτερης περιοχής της Βικτώριας.

General Position Description:

The purpose of the position is to support asylum-seeking and refugee youth, children and their families, through the provision of case management services implemented in accordance with standardized procedures and the laws of Greece.

The social worker will be in charge of receiving referrals, case assessment, planning, implementation, follow up and closure of cases; ensuring that the at risk cases receive a comprehensive and tailored package of support (e.g. UASCs, children with medical conditions, SGBV survivors, Victims of Torture, Victims of trafficking etc.).

The job location depends on assignment and may change according to evolving needs and funding. According to the project needs, related case management tasks might need to be undertaken in other regions and with changing working schedule (for example: in case of accompanying beneficiaries to asylum seekers appointments in the various asylum offices or assessing referred cases in different locations).

 

Key responsibilities

Case Management Activities

  • Support and implement project activities in line with the project plan.
  • Ensure activities are delivered in line with international human rights and humanitarian principles and Greek Law; (for example respecting the child protection systems of Greece).
  • Manage cases in line with Tdh SOPs, required documentation, and Inter Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Guidelines for Case Management and Child Protection, adhering to the fundamental principles of case management, (Do No Harm, Prioritiseing the Best Interests of the child, confidentiality & data protection, coordination, etc.).
  • Ensure the timely identification and registration of vulnerable cases for assessment, and accept and handle referrals of cases according to standardized procedures.
  • Ensure the consent/assent/permission is sought from all relevant parties to proceed with case management activities.
  • Conduct assessments and prioritize the most urgent needs to be responded to including: shelter, food, health, MHPSS, and legal needs, and facilitate access to specialized care as needed (medical care, counselling etc), and liaise with all relevant statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Work with supervisor to arrange case conferences for cases and ensure target population receive multidisciplinary support.
  • Develop an individual case plan for each case addressing the needs identified. Set time-bound, measureable objectives and seek support when required.
  • Make necessary arrangements to provide direct services or referrals to ensure the timely implementation of individual action plans.
  • Accompany target population members to public services and external actors if required.
  • Follow up and review assigned cases as scheduled to ensure all services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed time frames; providing guidance and advice where required.
  • Document case progress using agreed upon forms, update databases and reporting tools to ensure a comprehensive record of the case and determine need for continued follow up, reassessment or case closure.
  • Be ready to provide immediate response to emergency cases including high risk / life-threatening issues requiring a response within 24 hours.
  • Participate in awareness sessions and trainings if required.
  • Collaborate with the monitoring and evaluation team to ensure the timely submission of accurate reports and data respecting data protection protocols and confidentiality.
  • Ensure timely submission of weekly plans and reports to the line manager.
  • Support supervisor to establish a child protection referral pathway and train front-line staffing working with / in contact with children to identify and refer cases of concern safely.
  • Support supervisor in capacity building activities as required.

 

Coordination and Representation

  • Identify and network with external service providers and ensure that an effective referral system is made available for youth, young adults, children and their family members in compliance with the Greek legal framework.
  • Establish and maintain positive and efficient relations with target population, community members and all the other actors. Seek for synergies to optimize resources and time, and strengthen services whenever possible.
  • Participate in fora and meetings at local or regional level and liaise with humanitarian actors, authorities and other sector to disseminate information, best practices, lessons learned, etc when required.
  • Participate in other needs assessments and surveys when required.
  • Liaise with other organizations and available services that perform protection and recreational activities for children, young adults, adults and promote their rights

 

Risk Management/Other

  • Comply with the Tdh Global Code of Conduct and ensure Child Safeguarding standards throughout the organization and with partners; report any concern to Child Safeguarding Policy Focal Point.
  • Comply with all operational risk management policies: Whistle Blowing Policy, Anti Fraud and Corruption Policy as well as with the Security Plan of the organization and strengthen their implementation with the project team.
  • Report directly through the established internal reporting procedures any security incidents or serious cases of abuse and mistreatment of beneficiaries ensuring confidentiality at all stages.
  • Adhere to and enforce Tdh administrative regulations and procedures as well as Tdh IT and driving policies and SoPs to the team under responsibility.
  • Tdh expects that its contractors’ professional conduct reflect proper behaviour in accordance with local culture and traditions. The Social Worker assures the moral protection of the name of Tdh and defends in all circumstances the interests of the movement.
  • Tdh intervenes without any affiliation for politics, religion or financial profit. The Social Worker directs activities and engagements without preoccupation of political, racial or religious affiliation
  • Commit to observe discretion on any information related to the organization functioning and related issues.
  • Support the base to identify and analyse the security risks; especially related to project implementation.
  • Report any safety or security incident to security focal point.
  • Guarantee that project donor’s procedures are respected and alert internally in case of need

Candidate profile:

  • At least 1 year experience in social work and/or experience of similar position in the field
  • University degree in Social Work with professional license preferable
  • Previous experience with an NGO is desirable.
  • Proven track record and experience in emergencies (knowledge of social and psychological work would be an advantage).
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with challenging environments.
  • Experience working with extremely vulnerable individuals is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Greek legislation with regard to protecting children and local and national referral pathways.
  • Knowledge of key protection and legal issues in the asylum-seeking population and best practices.
  • Knowledge of international humanitarian response and development work.
  • Ability to work in an inter-cultural environment.
  • Ability to network and engage with communities.

General Position Description:

The CP & CSG officer is responsible for the preparation of training agendas and materials, and the delivery and co-delivery of Child Protection and Child Safeguarding trainings and workshops to specialized and non-specialized staff who work in contact with children, including but not restricted to open accommodation sites across Greece (I/NGOs or state actors), summer camps, sport clubs, state early childhood educators, state social workers and other actors.

The CP & CSG Officer will work in collaboration with other Tdh staff in the development of Child Safeguarding Policies & Procedures and will be actively involved in capacity-building activities for interested and targeted actors, including coaching & support in CSG operationalization.

S/he will collaborate closely with the project coordinator and targeted actors regarding the scheduling of the project activities and will work closely with M&E colleagues in ensuring data are collected and processed accordingly. The officer will support with the networking required for the needs of the project and will maintain positive relations with stakeholders. The candidate will have good knowledge of child protection and child safeguarding with a practical background in implementing child protection interventions.

In addition, they must have experience in delivering training to adults, youth & children, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt trainings to suit different audiences.

 

Key responsibilities:

Capacity building, child safeguarding systems strengthening & networking

  • Develop training methodology and training curriculum for children and adults, including theoretical handouts, PPT and pre-post tests and regularly refine and adjust training materials based on ongoing testing and feedback
  • Deliver child protection and child safeguarding trainings, safeguarding and protection activities/awareness raising sessions for children as well as relevant ToTs
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to the newly trained trainers on delivering and multiplying safeguarding trainings
  • Work in close collaboration with other project team members for the development, contextualization & establishment of Child Safeguarding Policies in partner organisations
  • Be actively involved in the design, preparation & implementation of networking activities that enable sharing of best practices and exchange of knowledge (conferences, roundtables, etc)
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate activities which seek to ensure participatory project design by consulting direct or indirect project beneficiaries (e.g Child Advisory Board, Community Advisory Board, etc)
  • Support the project coordinator to schedule and plan project activities (trainings, conferences, roundtables) and coordinate with other actors
  • Adequately prepare to conduct each session ahead of time (prepare PowerPoint presentations, accompanying material and handouts etc., as needed)
  • Be informed of the profile of the participants, and be able to adapt the curriculum and training style accordingly if needed, to maximize engagement
  • Show cultural sensitivity and acceptance of different cultures and backgrounds, and adapt training style (e.g. examples or illustrations provided) accordingly
  • Collect attendance sheets and feedback forms from participants, following the completion of each session in close collaboration with the M & E coordinator
  • Communicate and collaborate with the project coordinator, to collectively identify, address and resolve any risks or challenges during the implementation

Specific Context

This position is part of the FabLab project of Tdh Hellas in the open accommodation sites in mainland Greece.  The project aims to design and implement preventive and protective actions in migrant accommodation sites in mainland Greece with the purpose of limiting the spread of the epidemic among the migrant and host communities through information provision and production of materials through Tdh’s innovative project- FabLab. The protective material will be distributed to frontline workers in several camps in mainland Greece as well as to the residents of the camp where FabLab will be hosted.

At the same time, focus will be given in reinstating the mental health of the migrant population that has been facing several month-long measures of restriction of movement, disproportionate to the rest of the Greek population, during the COVID-19 outbreak, by becoming actively engaged with developing the aforementioned protective actions, developing skills and evolving FabLab production to serve their own needs.

 

General Position Description:

The purpose and role of the Logistics Officer is to provide logistics assistance to the FABLAB Project and Support teams & logistics aspects of Tdh projects in the field. More specifically, the Logistics officer is responsible for the procurement of requested goods or services, the supply and tracking of equipment and accessories, stock management, training staff on logistics procedures, and generally technical support and supply in all Tdh working spaces in Attica. S/he will be working under the direct supervision of the Logistics Manager of Tdh Hellas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Procurement – Transportation
    • Handle requests from all departments according to the established rules
    • Collect and record offers and Quotations
    • Ensure Tdh procurement procedures are followed for each purchase handled.
    • Ensure the relevant trackers are updated

 

  • Management of the Equipment
    • Ensure the setting up and the maintenance of the equipment.
    • Monitor the additional equipment required and advise on the purchase
    • Identification, registration in the equipment follow up and labeling of all the equipment.
    • Ensure the monitoring tools, are updated

 

  • Management of premises
  • Handle rental contracts for all Tdh premises
  • Handle contracts linked to utilities of the premises (water, electricity, etc)

General Position Description:

The Finance/Admin Officer wil be supporting with the overall financial resourcing and performance management of the FabLab project and of the mission in general. S/he will also be assisting in any Administrative related tasks.

The Finance/Admin Officer works under the direct management of the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the payment of the payroll, the monthly invoices to suppliers and service providers within the due deadlines in his/her unit
  • Ensure the compliance of his/her unit with all financial, tax, social and medical insurance payments
  • Plans and coordinates the preparation, review and finalization of periodic financial reports to donors; reviews and ensures valid variances between approved budgets and actual expenditures
  • Administers and monitor extra-budgetary resources, including review of agreements and cost plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and rules and established policies and procedures.
  • Organize budget follow up meetings and monitor the financial progress of the projects.
  • Record delegated financial transactions following appropriate authorizations. Review various accounts to detect irregularities.
  • Preparing bank transfers in timely manner, check payments, statements and deposits.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and update day to day accounting entries (into the SAGA system) and conducts the proper use of Tdh project expenditures in conformity to all Tdh and donor financial procedures.
  • Petty Cash administration, ensuring vouchers are properly supported. The count and reconciliation function will be conducted by the post holder and his/her supervisor or a third person.
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees regarding social insurance, income tax, timesheets and any other relevant personnel data in cooperation with finance team.
  • Assisting in the monthly closure document preparation.
  • In charge of processing travel requests for Tdh staff such as flight booking and internal travel.
  • Performs other duties as required by management related to Tdh finance/admin activities.

Candidate profile:

  • University degree or higher in Finance and Accounting, Business administration or similar degree.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position is required
  • Experience in similar position in the humanitarian aid/development sector is desirable
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, including advanced use of Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to detect and report inconsistencies

General Position Description:

The Communication officer will participate in the development and the implementation of a communication plan to promote the activities of this intervention a. to the directly affected communities b. to indirectly affected communities and c. to responders (field workers, staff of NGOs etc).

General Position Description:

Key responsibilities:

The Fab Lab manager will:

  • Be responsible for the development of activities and animation of the Fab Lab, including the organization of trainings and specialized workshops;
  • With the advice of Tdh Hellas’ Logistics Department, ensure quality control of the PPE produced in FabLab and ensure the specifications are met;
  • Guide users on how to operate the softwares and the machines (3D printer, laser cutter, computers, etc);

The Health Promotion Officer will be designing and implementing COVID-19 prevention activities focusing on Health and Hygiene. S/he will be responsible for the design, content and implementation of Health and Hygiene sessions for COVID-19 to the refugee population. S/he will also be responsible for the design, content and distribution of leaflets and other information materials throughout the 9 refugee accommodation sites that Tdh Hellas operates. Finally, s/he will support the FabLab Manager in engaging and establishing good relationships with the health actor in the camps and partnerships for the FabLab project and the PPE distribution to frontline workers.

  • Identifies and supports vulnerable population (focusing on families with children and unaccompanied ad separated minors) with specific messaging and support through the case management assistance fund, as needed
