Η ΚΑΡΙΤΑΣ ΑΘΗΝΑΣ είναι Αναγνωρισμένο Φιλανθρωπικό Σωματείο, Μη Κερδοσκοπικού Χαρακτήρα και Μη Κυβερνητική Οργάνωση. Εδρεύει στην Αθήνα, στην οδό Ομήρου 9. Είναι φορέας της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας στην Αθήνα για την Ποιμαντική της Φιλανθρωπίας, της Αγαθοεργίας και της Κοινωνικής Συμπαράστασης. Βοηθά χωρίς διακρίσεις άτομα που έχουν ανάγκη, εμπνέεται από την Κοινωνική Διδασκαλία της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας,  από τις εμπειρίες και τις ελπίδες των ανθρώπων που βρίσκονται σε μειονεκτική θέση, υφίστανται στερήσεις, είναι περιθωριοποιημένοι και ζουν σε συνθήκες φτώχειας.

Την πλήρωση των  παρακάτω θέσεων εργασίας Ιδιωτικού Δικαίου Ορισμένου Έργου με πλήρη απασχόληση:

  • «Κοινωνικός επιστήμονας» – Δύο (2) θέσεις

Περίληψη θέσεων εργασίας:

Η ΚΑΡΙΤΑΣ ΑΘΗΝΑΣ υλοποιεί πάντα έργα κοινωνικής πρόνοιας και αντιμετώπισης καταστάσεων έκτακτης ανάγκης.

Στο πλαίσιο αυτό η ΚΑΡΙΤΑΣ ΑΘΗΝΑΣ και οι εταίροι μας προσφέρουμε σε πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες από τη Συρία, το Αφγανιστάν, το Ιράκ και άλλες χώρες, μέσω προγραμμάτων, ολοκληρωμένες υπηρεσίες, που συμπεριλαμβάνουν την πρόσβαση σε πληροφορίες διαχείρισης της υπόθεσης, παραπομπές, ενσωμάτωση, πολιτιστικές δραστηριότητες και ευκαιρίες μάθησης για ενήλικες σύμφωνα με τα ενδιαφέροντα και τις εκάστοτε ανάγκες αυτών των επωφελουμένων. Οι υπηρεσίες αυτές θα παρέχονται ανάλογα, ή στους χώρους φιλοξενίας της ΚΑΡΙΤΑΣ ΑΘΗΝΑΣ ή στα ήδη υπάρχοντα Κέντρα Λειτουργίας της, με στόχο την στήριξη των ευπαθών αυτών ομάδων.

Οι συγκεκριμένες θέσεις αφορούν σε Πρόγραμμα Στέγασης Δικαιούχων Διεθνούς Προστασίας στην Ελλάδα (ESTIA II).

Βασικός στόχος του Έργου είναι η υποστήριξη δικαιούχων διεθνούς προστασίας στην Ελλάδα προκειμένου να διευκολυνθεί η ένταξή τους και η ενσωμάτωσή τους στον κοινωνικό ιστό.

Κύρια καθήκοντα

  • Συνοδείες εξυπηρετούμενων σε όλους τους εξωτερικούς φορείς (Νοσοκομεία, Υπηρεσία Ασύλου, Δημόσιους Φορείς Κοινωνικής Προστασίας & Ασφάλισης, άλλες ΜΚΟ κτλ).
  • Συνοδείες από και προς τα διαμερίσματα, καθώς και επισκέψεις στα διαμερίσματα των επωφελούμενων
  • Ενημέρωση επωφελούμενων για την ροή του προγράμματος και τις διαδικασίες αλλαγών του.
  • Πληροφόρηση για υπηρεσίες σε άλλες οργανώσεις και φορείς και όπου αλλού κρίνεται απαραίτητο.
  • Σχεδιασμός και οργάνωση προγραμματισμένων συναντήσεων με επωφελούμενους.
  • Σύνταξη αναφορών, καταχώρηση δεδομένων και τήρηση αρχείων.
  • Συνεργασία με άλλα μέλη της ομάδας έργου και συνεργαζόμενες οργανώσεις και φορείς.
  • Συμπλήρωση των απαραίτητων εργαλείων παρακολούθησης

Βασικές απαιτήσεις

  • Πτυχίο Κοινωνικών/Πολιτικών/Ανθρωπιστικών Επιστημών.
  • Τουλάχιστον 2 χρόνια σχετικής εργασιακής εμπειρίας.
  • Εμπειρία εργασίας με ευάλωτες ομάδες ή/και πρόσφυγες – μετανάστες θα προτιμηθεί.
  • Πολιτισμική ευαισθησία και άψογα επικοινωνιακά προσόντα.
  • Οργανωτικές δεξιότητες και ικανότητα διαχείρισης κρίσεων.
  • Ικανότητα να εργαστεί με προθεσμίες και εντός καθορισμένων προτύπων.
  • Ανεπτυγμένη ικανότητα ευελιξίας και ομαδικού πνεύματος.
  • Άριστη ικανότητα χειρισμού Η/Υ και χρήσης  Microsoft (Word, Excel και Outlook).
  • Άριστη γνώση Αγγλικών σε γραπτό και προφορικό λόγο, με επιθυμητή τη γνώση και άλλων γλωσσών όπως γαλλικών, αραβικών και φαρσί.
  • Γνώση λειτουργίας ΜΚΟ.
  • Γνώση και αποδοχή των αρχών και αξιών της ΚΑΡΙΤΑΣ.
  • Επιθυμητή η γνώση της Κοινωνικής Διδασκαλίας της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας.
  • Έγκυρη άδεια παραμονής και εργασίας στην Ελλάδα / Δυνατότητα κατά νόμο εργασίας στην Ελλάδα.

Δυνατότητα για Ταξίδια

  • Ταξίδια σε περιοχές υλοποίησης των προγραμμάτων εντός και πέριξ των Αθηνών.

Εργασιακό Περιβάλλον

  • Η εργασία πραγματοποιείται σε χώρους υλοποίησης των προγραμμάτων, περιλαμβανομένων κατοικημένων κτιρίων και τυπικού περιβάλλοντος γραφείου.

Οι αιτήσεις θα εξετασθούν από την επιτροπή αξιολόγησης και θα κληθούν σε συνέντευξη οι υποψήφιοι που καλύπτουν τις προδιαγραφές της θέσης σύμφωνα με τα τυπικά τους προσόντα. Η επιτροπή αξιολόγησης θα εξετάσει τους υποψήφιους σύμφωνα με τα κριτήρια επιλογής. Με βάση το βιογραφικό και την συνέντευξη, θα προτείνει την λήψη απόφασης στο Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο.

Οι υποψήφιοι που θα κληθούν για συνέντευξη, πρέπει να έχουν μαζί τους κατά την ημέρα της συνέντευξης:

Υπεύθυνη δήλωση του Ν.1599/1986, θεωρημένη για το γνήσιο της υπογραφής του δηλούντα, ότι:

α) τα στοιχεία που αναφέρονται στη δήλωση είναι ακριβή και αληθή και

β) τα αντίγραφα των τίτλων σπουδών, των άλλων στοιχείων κ.λπ., είναι ακριβή αντίγραφα από τα αντίστοιχα γνήσια πρωτότυπα έγγραφα.

Two (2) Child Friendly Space Community Carers – IRIDA WOMEN’S CENTRE

Type of contract: 7 hours a day 5 days a weeks, fixed term, with possibility of renewal, only female candidates

Duration: 9 months, starting: 01.10.2020 Location: Irida Center: Child Friendly Space (CFS)

The CFS Community Carer provides recreational activities and engagement of children aged 1 to 5, under the guidance and instructions of the CFS Coordinator. They must create an atmosphere of respect and appreciation among children and respect the skills and cultural background of each child. They should work in accordance with IRIDA’s core values and mission of supporting and empowering refugee, migrant and displaced women from across the world. They should promote fair play, collaboration and creativity. They are also responsible for the supervision of the children’s space during working hours.The CFS Community Carer behaves in line with the core values of Irida. Irida aims to create a safe and empowering environment for all women, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion or cultural background.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES

Take care of children aged 1 – 5 in IRIDA’s children’s space Work in a team of 2, to take care of up to 6 children at any time

Ensure a safe and child friendly atmosphere within the children’s space

Ensure a variety of games and activities within the children’s space catering to the needs of children of different ages, genders and abilities

Ensure that children feel comfortable, safe and respected

Screen for and monitor protection needs and gaps and report these to the supervisor Ensure activities are consistent with IRIDA’s core values and mission

Work closely with the CFS Coordinator

Be in close contact with the Head of Protection when necessary Attend general team meetings on a weekly basis

Undergo trainings to learn techniques about child care and trauma-informed child care methods

Assisting potty trained children to use the bathroom!

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Only female candidates are to be considered for the vacancy

Only women with lived experience (a refugee/migration background) will be considered for this position.

Ability to commit for a longer period of time (minimum of 9 months from September) Good spoken English/and or Greek is required

Previous experience either working with or taking care of children (either formally or informally)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team Understand and fully align with Irida’s vision and values Reliable, professional and punctual

Asylum Lawyer -Athens – GOODWILL CARAVAN

Position: Asylum lawyer

Background:

Goodwill Caravan is a small humanitarian charity operating in the UK and in Greece.  We run humanitarian protection projects for vulnerable refugee families, orphans, detained unaccompanied children at risk of organ trade, trafficking and kidnappings if left in detention centres, prisons or homeless on arrival to the Greek islands.

Our vision is of a world in which children affected by war or natural disaster can live safe and fulfilled lives.  This vision drives our mission to deliver life-changing humanitarian support to refugees and others in greatest need, regardless of identity.

Our current projects include:

– Legal support for refugees

– Providing legal support to minors, unaccompanied minors, families and vulnerable refugees detained in detention centres or stuck in refugee camps

– Offering safe shelter to vulnerable refugees

– Weekly distributions of food, clothing and necessities

– IT centres and skills workshops

– Accompaniment services for medical transport in remote refugee camps and for asylum services

Job Title: Lawyer

Location: 3is Septemvriou 65, 104 33, Athens, Greece

Status: Your role is on a part-time basis of 25 hours per week.

Contract open to renewal depending on performance review at the end of 3-month period by board members. First month being a trial period.

Job Description to include but is not limited to the following:

Description of Services: Procedures/ Assistance with:

  • Family Reunification
  • Access to asylum procedure
  • Border procedure (admissibility)
  • UAC/UAM Prison/Detention release court
  • 1st interview for asylum in Greece
  • Issuing of ID cards and passports
  • Applications to speed up the procedures
  • Appeals to rejections, Court procedures against detention families
  • Provide asylum support for GWC shelter families twice a month (get families to visit office in two groups) and conduct individual updates of their asylum cases.
  • Create individual files for these families in GWC office in clearly labelled excel database to be regularly updated.
  • Ensure that all families with GWC have legal residence in Greece and cash card applications.
  • Be the emergency contact for any legal emergencies
  • See our families from our shelters in our office once a month in one working day. If you feel there is not enough time to assess their legal asylum claims in one working day, this can be stretched over two working days which will be reflected in your weekly report.
  • Weekly reports must be completed once a week in the format provided by the management team and updated on excel sheet. Data must match. Reports must be sent to the management team which includes Lead coordinator in Greece and CC board members in the UK. Weekly reports are mandatory and non-negotiable.
  • NGO and organisational legal support such as NGO registrations and conflicts with landlords
  • Communications with Reception and Identification service, Governmental organisations and other relevant legal entities.

There are vast differences on the time allocated on each case based on their nature but on average each client should be called once every two weeks with the support of the legal coordinator.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Lead Coordinator and with close cooperation with co-workers, the cultural mediator must have a cooperative problem-solving approach, with the aim of finding the best way to enable people to access the care or assistance they need. Cultural mediators prepare and help people, businesses and governmental bodies to predict and foresee cultural differences and avoid problems arising from these. They must possess strong linguistic skills.

Cultural Mediators accompany and interpret for refugees and asylum seekers, who need to access medical, legal and other services of the Greek public sector. This role is extremely important for understanding exactly what is needed by each person and clarifying any information to the refugee. Language can often make it difficult for refugees to know what they need to do and where they need to go. The cultural mediator will work alongside the legal team and with the admin team in the office to assist in translation. This role requires a sensitive and understanding approach to enhance communication and must display high levels of service for recipients. This job may require you to travel to different locations.

Responsibilities

Job Description to include but is not limited to the following:

  • Render messages from one language to another accurately, without omissions and

additions, and maintain message content, context, and style as much as possible.

  • Communicate in the following languages: Arabic, Greek, English and any other languages

spoken.

  • Work alongside legal team and lawyers and translate legal cases and documents when

requested

  • Maintain professional demeanour in presentation and communication style.
  • Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information, and maintain

client confidentiality pursuant to protocols.

  • Act as cultural broker when/if necessary.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, practices, or behaviours.
  • Ability to perform sight translation reading aloud documents in a language other than that in which they were written.
  • Perform duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Report back to managers with weekly reports (every Friday)
  • Manage work schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Have access to communication tools for prompt responses with the coordinating team (including text, email, and voicemail).

Requirements:

  • Completed high school/higher education;
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional work experience, with at least one (1) year of experience working with migrants in Greece or in other refugee and mixed migration contexts;
