Operations Assistant-Greek hotspot islands and/or mainland-EASO

Job description

  • The interims will either work under the supervision of EASO or will be seconded and work under the supervision of the Greek authorities in performing some or all of the following tasks:
  • Provide direct operational support to the appointed local supervisor (Greek authorities, EASO Field Support Officer/Field Coordinator or responsible EASO Officer/Greece Management Team);
  • Provide operational support to the day-to-day management of the operation, including planning, follow-up daily implementation, provide first reaction and solutions and provide information and feedback to the local coordinator of the operation;
  • Provide operational support in managing teams of persons allocated to the implementation of daily activities, including day-to day coordination, organising and following-up administrative procedures on deployment issues and reports, etc;
  • Provide support in contract management and in financial procedures and related tasks;
  • Provide support in organising meetings and events;
  • Participate in internal and external meetings;
  • Compile daily and weekly statistics and reports and provide inputs for briefing requests, state of play of operations;
  • Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports; Manage documents;
  • Provide regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services and challenges;
  • Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile.

 

Candidates Profile

  • University degree – preferred and advantageous;
  • Demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks in Greece will be an advantage;
  • Understanding of the Greek migration and asylum context will be an advantage;
  • Fluency in English (oral and written);
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web based applications;
  • Very good intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in field operations in the Greek hotspots or mainland Greece.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent or higher) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or High school degree/certificate with five years of relevant professional experience.

Experience:
