We support thousands of individuals in Northern Greece with essential relief supplies, as well as providing a space for learning, integration and building community. IHA has operated in Northern Greece since 2016 and is currently running a warehouse in Diavata and a community centre in Lagadikia. We strongly focus on providing support around the principle of dignity first. We work collaboratively and are open to building new connections, while making sure to maintain sustainable operations for our team and our target group, and remaining flexible and independent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IHA has operated in Northern Greece for over nine years, building a strong network with humanitarian grassroots organisations, as well as with local actors and initiatives supporting forcibly displaced people in Europe. Today, IHA operates in Northern Greece, primarily in supply management, logistics, informal education, community building, and inclusion support. We work closely with local actors to assist people on the move to access services, develop networks, skills and tools, and move towards self-reliance and independence in their new place of residence, guided by the principle of dignity first.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of the Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IHA is looking to recruit a full-time Programme Manager to start in early April 2025. The Programme Manager is a key member of the Greece Management Team, acting as a focal point for local, regional and international partners, providing operational oversight, and serving as the main link between IHA\u2019s back office and its team in Thessaloniki. The position is largely office-based. The Programme Manager contributes to the running of IHA\u2019s projects by providing administrative and HR support, strategic guidance, organisational representation, and advisory support in the development and implementation of projects. The Programme Manager is a key contributor to the running of IHA\u2019s operations, ensuring that projects fit in with the organisation\u2019s objectives, and driving its further professionalisation and growth.<\/p>\n<p>The Programme Manager works closely with the Logistics Manager, Project Manager and Team Manager (Thessaloniki-based, full-time), as well as the Operations Director (remote-based, part-time). IHA has a semi-flat hierarchical structure meaning that there is cooperation and dialogue across the organisation. MSF started to respond to humanitarian and medical needs of vulnerable people on the move in 2016, with a project located in downtown Athens. Since 2019, MSF also runs a project on Samos Island. In both projects, MSF offers to a broad package of primary health care, including sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and health promotion. Socio-legal services complement medical care to ensure a holistic approach. Ensuring the guarantee of the highest possible level of medical related security issues (mental and physical health and safety in the workplace) and monitoring the psychological status of all Mission\u2019s staff, suggesting solutions to help improve mental health related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Being responsible for defining and sizing other resources (pharmacy and medical equipment management in collaboration with logistics) and timelines, procedures and protocols. Ensuring preparation of all medical orders in collaboration with the Logistics Department and the submission of all medical purchase requests to HQ. Being accountable for the proper management of the pharmacy in the Mission, including projects.<\/li>\n<li>Providing reports on the mission\u2019s evolution from the medical perspective, as required, and is responsible for the Medical Library of the Mission.
