Human Resources Administrator-Athens-MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES
CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical and humanitarian action-driven organization that delivers emergency aid to populations affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers (OCs) and numerous offices worldwide.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
As HR Administrator assists the Human Resources Department with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. Facilitates daily HR functions and contributes to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Internal HQ HR administration
ACTIVITIES
Internal HQ HR administration
Ordinary administration according to the Greek Labour Law (leaves, personnel records, contracts, ERGANI, certificates, payroll support etc.)
- Focal point for Volunteers and Interns
- Support to the recruitment process (vacancies’ communication, 1st screening, communication with applicants, interviews scheduling, 1st round of interviews etc.)
- Initial drafting of HR policies and procedures under the supervision and guidance of the HR Director
- Provides relevant advice to MSF HQ Staff (leaves, private health insurance etc)
- Support to the process for International Staff’s departures for missions (follow up on health documents such as vaccinations, international private insurance etc.)
- Supports the traveling process for International Staff (visas, travel arrangements etc.) in collaboration with the HR Officer
- Oversees and focalizes GDPR issues
Active member of the HR team
- Actively participates and contributes in the HR department and planning
- Supports and participates in HR activities and projects
- Acts as general administrative back up in case of need
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or other related studies
- Fluency in Greek and English both oral and written
- Minimum three years of experience in a similar position
- Prior experience with MSF or other NGOs a plus
- Prior working experience in Human Resources department a plus
- Very good command of IT tools (excel, word, power point)
- Knowledge of PYLON HRM (Epsilon Net) will be considered as an asset

- Graduate degree in relevant field (e.g., Social and Political Sciences, International Relations, Law, Masters, Economics), Master’s degree desired.

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other relevant degree. Professional certification a plus. Additional experience may substitute for some education.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in procurement/purchasing management, logistics, Supply chain, administration, preferably with an international organization.
- Good knowledge of various donor procurement regulations (e.g., EU, UN, N.4412 Public Procurement Services, etc.)
- Knowledge of national and international procurement regulations and local market conditions.
- Knowledge of contract terms, as well as a proven ability to successfully complete purchase orders against specifications.
- Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Requirments:
